What is Digital Photography

The term Digital basically means anything that is a result of the techniques applied in the field of electronics.

Similarly Digital Photography uses the technical aspects of Electronics using an image sensor that converts the Light Signals into electrical signal.In Digital camera or in DSLR The image sensors used are CCD (charged Coupled Device) and CMOS (Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor) which store the electric signals in standard JPEG file format.This is better as compared to traditional film Photography which uses chemical processes in Photo development.

• No photo development is needed using any chemical or traditional processes.
• Sufficient information about the image is present in the image file.
• We can view the image anytime anywhere with the help of an electrical devices like Computer, cellphones etc.
