A group of 11 elephants entered in the steel city of Odisha ( Rourkela ) in Under-construction Birsa Munda Stadium on 6th july Saturday early morning.The administration has locked the main gate of the stadium to check there movements.Group of 11 elephants damaged two Auto-rickshaws near Nuabazaar, rourkela.
We got some information that they first entered in the city on Thursday night and damaged three houses in RS Colony which located behind NIT, Rourkela campus.As the news of jumbo spread inside the Rourkela city, many people gathered near the Stadium to see these jumbos.In the drive away operation the forest department engaged 200 people including forest officials.Forest officials provided food and water to the elephants.
